A passion for Chocolate!

As many of you know, we love our chocolate and tan dogs. We love all of our dogs but the Chocolates have been a life long passion. I met my first chocolate Miniature Smooth Dachshunds at the Greater Malvern Dachshund Specialty in Great Britain, probably 20 years ago. The breeder of the two chocolates was Mrs. Monk, who was also the breeder (I believe) of CH Pipersvale Pina Colada, a dog found in many pedigrees here and in Great Britain. Mrs. Monk was up there in years, but her pride and joy were these two lovely chocolate siblings. I never wanted a dog so badly. Mrs Monk was not interested in selling dogs into the US, particularly her chocolate dogs. I thought for sure I would never have the opportunity to show or breed this fabulous color.

Fast forward to 2015, and we have finally produced chocolate pups! The female in the pic is Lacey, (Brendackels Florentine Lace V Tudorglen). She's just a little over a year old and has just started her show career. Thank you to Gisele Blair for making this litter possible and we expect exciting things from Lacey in the future.
